Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur fans will be well aware of another young lad coming through our Academy setup, Armando Shashoua, from the role he played in the opening test event at our new White Hart Lane Stadium where our Under 18 side took victory over Southampton.
Although the midfielder didn’t get on the scoresheet in the clash, this season he’s stepped up more to our Under 21 team and with the club competing in the EFL Trophy, the 18-year-old got another chance to impress on Tuesday evening as we faced Ipswich Town.
Although we lost 2-1 on the night, it was still a good experience for our young lads and Shashoua took his opportunity as he got his full senior debut, and opened his goalscoring account in the ninth minute to give us the lead at Portman Road.
Reacting to the game on social media, fans seemed to be impressed with his efforts and hopefully there will be decent highlights soon enough.
Shashoua will be world class no embarrassment ????

Very impressive first half performance from Spurs who lead 1-0 thanks to a goal from the excellent Armando Shashoua. #COYS

Thought Shashoua was pretty good, he an White stood out to me. Hinds has made a couple of errors but I love his bravery on the ball, particularly considering he’s on his weaker side.

On the other hand, Harvey White looked like a player who spent the summer with the first team. Oakley-Booth had some flashes, Shashoua did well when we were attacking and Richards had a decent first-half. Don't want to it to be too negative on the youngsters after all
